Hey Everyone....
Just wanted to let you know that I am really limiting my computer time this weekend. Mike's parents arrived yesterday evening and we are enjoying our time with them. They came up to see the snow and to wish their baby a Happy 40th Birthday!! More on that later...
Hope everyone has a warm weekend!

Portable Church!!!!!

This is so exciting!!!!! We have been waiting and praying for this day! Today we had the honor of preparing to set-up our portable church at a local elementary school. Two weeks from tomorrow (February 8) we will have our first official church service as
Harvest Bible Chapel Granger!!

Here is the trailer with all of our church equipment....sound system, greeting tables, children's ministry stuff, signs, and so much more!

Here is Trent, our pastor, reading some scripture and spending some
time in prayer before we even begin the day.

Here are the signs that will go out by the road to advertise and direct
people to our church......please come!!
Also, notice the snow...it was freezing!!

OH Wow!! Here is most of the worship team...with my sweet husband on the far left!
They sounded awesome!!!!

Healthworks Kids Museum

So this is how we spent our Friday afternoon....Healthworks kids museum!!
The little girls went to a class on making healthy choices while the bigger kids got to dissect some pig hearts. We do science as a part of our schoolwork, but there is no way that I could give them this kind of science (plus I don't have pig hearts just lying around my house!). It is amazing how many resources I have found to supplement what we do at home and also give the kids some time to be with their friends.

Leah, Grace, and Sarah Joy listening to the teacher talk about making healthy choices.

College? Well, sort of.....

Graham started college this week...sort of...
He has started taking a Lego Robotics Course offered at a local college. His first class was this week and he absolutely loved it! He had to build a robot with a computer something in it and hook it up to a computer via a USB cable and then program the robot to do what he wanted it to do....way beyond his mom/teacher! You could just see the excitement in his face when he got home!!
Thank you, Grandma and PawPaw for this awesome Christmas present!!

Catchin' up on our week!

We found out through our local homeschool group that the History Museum and the Studebaker Museum were FREE on Monday....so we took advantage of the sunshine and the break from school (MLK..haha) and went downtown to check out these museums. The history museum currently has an incredible display of Tusks from wayyyyy back. The kids thought this was really cool...but not quite as cool as the the cars at the Studebaker museum.

Apparently I wasn't supposed to take any pictures in the history museum....whoops!

Here are the kids in front of some really cool old cars....

Oh, a Jaguar!

Target. $1.74.

I don't know about you, but sometimes I can get totally side-tracked looking at different blogs. There are so many creative people out there in blog land and most of them inspire me to be a better Christian, wife, mother, and friend...which is what draws me to their blogs. Last week, I went from one blog to another until I found this adorable lady on a video demonstrating different ways to wear scarves. She apparently gives out fashion tips every Friday (which I am also desperate for!!) and this is one of her latest. Since I am now living in the arctic (aka...Northern Indiana), I found this information very valuable and wanted to share it with all of my blog friends.
You can go HERE and see "Big Mama" for yourself.

After watching her video, I thought about all of my sweet friends at our new church....and wanted to share this information with them too. I don't think any of them check my blog, so I decided to share it with them tonight at our ladies get-together. I am going to ask for a volunteer and show them some of the different ways to wear a scarf...and hopefully get even more ideas from them. This idea led me on a search for a new scarf that I could actually give away tonight to make this even more fun. So, Sunday afternoon, I set out for my search. I went to TJ MAxx first, then Old Navy, then KoHl's.....and only found one that I liked...but it was almost $12...a little too pricey for my "giveaway". Well, I was still determined to make this fit in my budget! I was on the cell phone with my friend, Robyn, (pretty much during this entire shopping experience) when she finally said, "Go to Target!". So...I did. Within a couple of minutes of being in the store I spotted this beautiful, super-soft black scarf. Then I looked at the price tag and could not believe my eyes. $1.74!!!!!!
Thank you, Lord for blessing me with this! I can't wait to see who gets to take this home tonight!

Still Snowing.....

Just trying to have a little fun in spite of this snow....

Somewhere out there under all of that snow is a trampoline and several flower beds...

Hamburgers and Hot Dogs, anyone??? Come on over and we will start the grill....

And this is what we see out of our living room....it really is beautiful! I wish I could send all of you in Georgia just a little bit of it!
