We ventured out today to do some blueberry pickin' and eatin'!! YUMMY!!
We came home with about 6 pounds and I feel like I have already eaten at least a pound!
Now this is what summer is all about!!

Bragging Rights

Worship is bragging about God to God.
Evangelism is bragging about God to others.

I thought this was so simple....yet so profound. Think about it....have you bragged to God about how awesome He is? Have you told anyone else? I know I have so much to brag about Him!

Some Sunlight and Some Sonlight!!

Today we drove about 40 minutes to St. Joseph, MI to go to Silver Beach on Lake Michigan. It was a beautiful day and the kids loved the water and the sand. As you can see....many other people enjoyed the day with us!

And yes, our Sonlight Curriculum came this week! The kids were so excited....it almost felt like Christmas! For me...it was just a gentle reminder that this summer is not going to last forever and Christmas will be here before we realize...and so will the snow!!

Catching Up...

This has been a really wonderful week if you like 75 degree weather with absolutely no humidity and plenty of sunshine! We have been outside so much that I just haven't taken the time to upload some pictures and share with y'all. We have enjoyed two evenings just hanging out with some other Life Action friends (and eating, of course!!) We also went out to Clear Lake to ride bikes (I thought it was too cool to go swimming)....but Graham ended up swimming in his shorts with a bunch of other Life Action kids.! That's what summer is all about, right?

Is he in my face, or what?

No...not Rachel Ray.....Gracie Ray!

UMMM....that smells delicious! What is it about hamburger meat?

Oh how I wish y'all could have seen this. She had the most serious look on her face!
It was so funny!!

Two Months Ago....

My heart still aches for the Chapman family. Two months ago today, they placed sweet Maria into the arms of Jesus. This morning they did an interview with Robin Roberts from Good Morning America. The interview is scheduled to air the week of August 4th. This is huge!! I know God has big plans as a result of this tragedy. Let's watch HIM bring beauty from these ashes.....

Happy 80th Birthday, Grandmother!!

While we were in Georgia, we celebrated my grandmother's 80th birthday. It was certainly one of the highlights of our trip. Grandmother is still in very good health and seems to be enjoying her life. She recently had to start taking dialysis 3 times a week, but she still realizes that her health is so much better than most her age. I think her boyfriend (Troy) helps keep her young! The last picture is with several of her siblings. She is #7 of 14!! Isn't that awesome!! Her mother was quite the woman!
Anyway....Happy 80th Birthday, Grandmother! I love you!!

We have been quite busy this week...trying to visit all of our friends before we head back to Indiana. The kids have enjoyed sleep-overs and afternoons with friends! We could not ask for a better way to spend a week of our summer!

Missing Mike....

This picture was part of the weekly email that Life Action sends out to all of the staff members. They recognized that Dennis J. had officially "handed the baton" over to Mike this week after being the Staff Services Director for 7 years. This picture was taken in Mike's office this past week. Do you see that smile on his face? That is the same expression he has everyday when he comes home. He really loves his job and the wonderful people he works with! I am so blessed....but I do miss him terribly!!
