Pure In Heart for Little Princesses

In a few weeks, Revive Our Hearts (one of the outreaches of Life Action Ministries) will be hosting a Pure In Heart Conference. The main focus of the conference is for girls to recognize that they are a princess of the KING and HE desires for them to be pure in their thoughts and actions. Some of the staff members of Life Action went through the material with the staff children last week. Grace was fortunate to be one of those girls. We are so proud of our princess and her desire to remain pure before the Lord!

Trinity True Woman Weekend

A few months ago, my friend Andrea asked me to go with her to a women's retreat where she would be speaking. As soon as I found out that it worked with our schedule, I told her I would love to go! I have been looking forward to the night away with good friends and how God would speak to my heart through the retreat. It was a wonderful time and God truly did speak to me (He is so faithful!).....Andrea shared her testimony and also taught from Titus 2. Although we will probably never see the results, I know seeds were planted in that little town just north of Grand Rapids, MI. Thank you, Andrea, for inviting me to join you and for allowing God to use you for his glory!

Not the "China" I normally talk about.....

Yesterday, I had a couple of my friends over for lunch to pray for the retreat we will be attending this weekend. My friend, Andrea, will be sharing her heart with lots of ladies and we wanted to make sure that we had prayed over the weekend before we left town. It was a wonderful time of fellowship and encouragement....and we all agreed that we should do it more often. After all....what kind of occasion do we need to invite friends over, pull out the finest China we have, eat some yummy food, and spend time in prayer?

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

Catchin' up!

The weather here has been perfect the last couple of days. Temperatures in the low 60s. Lots of sunshine. No wind. Just perfect. Really making us have spring fever.
We had such a great visit with my parents the past two weeks....and slowly life is settling back into our "normal" routine. The kids were somewhat ahead in their schoolwork, so we took several days off (spring break?) while Nana and Grandaddy were here. Today we jumped back into all of our schoolwork and managed to make it through most of our schoolday without any tears....well, we couldn't find one of Grace's books and I told her she was not going to be able to play outside until she found it and got it read. Thankfully, Graham found it in the basement.
Last week, mom and I had the priviledge of going to a live radio recording for Nancy Leigh DeMoss. She actually taught 8 sessions which will be aired later in the fall. She preached from the book of Revelation....and it was powerful! God certainly spoke to me about being a lukewarm Christian. God wants us to be hot-hearted for him and I am guilty of not being hot-hearted so much of the time. I am praying for God to give me a revived burden for the lost. Right now my kids are outside playing in our backyard with a bunch of kids from our neighborhood. Some of them I know do not go to church. Why am I not burdened by that? Why do I just go about my business and ignore the fact that they need Jesus? Do I truly love my neighbors?
This weekend I will be heading out of town with a couple of my friends to go to a ladies retreat. My friend, Andrea, will be speaking at the retreat. Titus 2! I know that even though I am going as a friend and prayer warrior for Andrea, God will have something to speak to me about. Isn't that how it always goes? It's like when you go to work on a mission project and you think you are going to bless someone and then you are the one that ultimately gets the blessing.
Well, I better get up out of my beach chair and go inside and start dinner. We are firing up the grill!!!! Hamburgers! I'm telling you....we have spring fever!

The last couple of weeks have been incredibly busy for our family. My parents have been visiting and helping us with some major home improvement projects. I haven't had much of a chance to grab my camera...but I did capture this sweet thing one day. Oh my goodness...I could eat her up (and my other kids too!!).
