Why Revival?

Life Action Ministries has a new website!!! I checked it out this morning and found this......

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that life is painfully broken. Everywhere we look, we see the tragic effects of sin on people and society. The big question is, "Can the mess be fixed?"

God's big answer is that Jesus came to heal all things through His death and resurrection. Through faith in Christ, anyone can participate with God in the restoration of all things. But how?

Some say education or innovation or social justice or international cooperation will heal the world. But we believe that the root of the problem is much deeper. We believe the heart of the matter is the human heart.

Jesus said that out of the heart comes the real corruption in life (Matt. 15:18). That means that change on the outside can really only come when there is a change on the inside. All attempts to change human behavior without changing human hearts are like treating the symptoms of a disease but never dealing with the cause.

That's why revival is so important. Revival is a word that gets to the heart of the matter. It's a renewed relationship with Jesus that revolutionizes relationships with others.

The great news is that anyone can experience revival. The Bible says that if we draw near to God, God will draw near to us (James 4:8). It is possible to cultivate revival by seeking God.

For most Christians, the gap between what they know about God and what they have actually experienced in their lives is much wider than they wish it were. Some have tried and failed so many times that they wonder if real change is possible for them. Revival closes the gap between knowledge and experience, making faith in Jesus authentic and real.

Incredibly, God wants us to experience revival even more than we desire it for ourselves. He has even given us a road map to follow. This website is dedicated to helping you discover and travel the pathways that lead to God's heart.

Our hope is that you will come with us on the journey of discovering more of God and His power for living. Along the way, God might even surprise you with His presence.

That's because another aspect of revival is that God loves to pour out His presence on individuals, communities, and nations. And when that happens, everything about life as we know it changes dramatically.

In fact, in wide-scale revival, society itself is transformed. (Check out this link to find out about America's three Great Revivals).

Revival. It's just one word, but it represents God's purposes and best for your life. In a world broken by sin, revival is a critical part of God's plan to heal, restore, and change everything.

We are praying that God will send a revival in our hearts and yours!
