On top of feeling guilty that I am not spending Mother's Day with my mom (a first...ever!!!!), I get a call from my dad this morning saying that he had to call 911 during the night because my mom was in so much pain that she couldn't get herself out of bed and dressed to go to the hospital. They have admitted her to the hospital and think she is suffering from colitis.
It's been a hard day! I know I could not do anything for her....but I just feel so far away from home....for the first time since we moved.
Thanks for your prayers for my mom and for me....
Praise you in this Storm....by Casting Crowns
I was sure by now
God, you would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say “Amen”,
and it’s still raining
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as You mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I’ve cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

Hey Leigh Ann, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I will be praying for you as well as her and your Dad. I know everything will turn out okay. I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Much Love,
Amanda Lively
When you feel fartherest from home is when God will draw you in. I am praying that he will wrap you in his loving arms and give you peace knowing your mom is in the Lord's hands. I love you and am praying for you and your mom.
