Ok, so I have been tagged by my recent left-behind BFF, Robyn. She wants me to tell you 3 random things about myself.
First of all, I think I am so random that I cannot even think of 3 random things about me. Does that make any sense? Sometimes I don't even make sense to myself. But here it goes...
Like Robyn, I am a little obsessed about some things....mainly floors! I cannot stand dirt or anything on the floor. I must stop everything immediately and clean them. My husband tells me that I am going to go to my grave with a broom in one hand and a coke in the other.
Which leads me to #2...I love COKE! Classic! I love sweet tea too, but there is something about Coke (ok, it's the caffeine!!) that I just love. I can almost picture myself looking a little like my Granny Beck with a broom in one hand and a Coke in the other.
And lastly, I really do hate cold weather! I am still not quite sure why God chose the coldest place in the US to call us to work, but He did! Guess He has some work to do with me....
Better get back to my random life with my random kids....
Love you, Robyn!! Thanks for tagging me!!

Downpour!
Hey Ya'll...
I just wanted to share with you a book that I have just started reading. The title is "Downpour" by James MacDonald. This book is really stirring my heart and helping me experience a deeper relationship-and ultimately-a personal revival! I am so guilty of going through the day-to-day things and not even realizing that I am spiritually dry....but I must admit....I am.
Here is a paragraph from the book....
"Don't just try harder; return to the Lord. Not because He has left you (He hasn't!) but because, like Jonah, in some way, at some level, you have left Him. As you received Him (a moment of turning) so walk in Him (a moment of returning). Every so often as we follow Christ through the months and years, we need to say, "I have slipped. How did I get over here? I must return to the Lord."
And a few pages later....
"Maybe like me you wonder, How many more days am I going to get in this world? Really, how much time do I have? I am not ready to meet the Lord yet. Spiritually, in Jesus, I believe that I am prepared by God's grace to meet Him, but I'm not satisfied by what has been accomplished yet. I'm not satisfied with the heights and depths and the places that I've been to in my own relationship with the Lord. I want more time to go further, to go higher, to go deeper. I want to make good use of the time that remains for me and to respond to this amazing invitation.
The invitation is to personal revival. Let's turn to the Lord. Let's RETURN to the Lord."
And I just loved this.....
"What God gives, He gives in abundance. He would never respond to your parched heart with, "Oh, here's a tiny bit. See if that will satisfy you. This is all I can give right now, but come back later if you want a wee bit more." Does God give like that? NO, God gives like this: Pressed down, shaken together, running over (Luke 6:38), exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 NKJV).
To make that abundance abundantly clear, Hosea uses the analogy of rain in the nation of Israel: He will come to us as the showers. When revival comes to the human heart, it's not some gentle, summer sunshine rain. It's not a sprinkle here and there or a scattered shower. When revival comes to the human heart, it's a torrent, it's a cascade, it's a deluge. It's a downpour!"
Oh Lord! Please send a downpour in my heart!!

Thank you for your plans!
11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

Just dropping in....
Hey Everyone out there in blog land....
Just wanted to give a quick update on the Harris Family of five.
We have been busy, busy, busy this week! Here's some of what we have been up to....
a little schoolwork, crying, packing, packing again after the girls unpack to play with things, small meltdowns (just me!!), closing bank accounts, finalizing plans for our walk-through on our new house, getting homeowners insurance, arranging for carpet cleaning, eating and hanging out with family and friends, more crying....ok, are you as tired as I am??
The moving truck is scheduled to be here tomorrow morning around 8!!
Thank you for keeping us in your prayers as we move our family to Michiana....
Hope to post again real soon....

My Boy!
Just wanted to share this photo of Graham with you. We took this a couple of weeks ago at Mike's parents house. They have a beautiful lake behind their house and all the kids love to go to Grandma and PawPaw's to go fishing. These memories will be even more precious to us in a few days (11!!) when we can't jump in the car and go to their house for the afternoon.

A Little Makeover Project!
BEFORE
These chairs and sofa have been in my mother's family for as long as I can remember. When I was a small child, they were an orange/floral pattern. My mom had them recovered about 10 years ago. Now she is wanting to pass them to me for our new "formal" living room....so we decided to give them a more up-to-date look.
AFTER
Mom at work!
Next, we tackle the sofa.....
